Crescent Point Energy reports $411.7M loss in Q1

Crescent Point Energy Corp. reported a loss in its latest quarter as it was hit by a non-cash impairment charge related to assets in Saskatchewan it is selling. The oil and gas producer says it lost $411.7 million or 66 cents per share for the quarter that ended March 31 compared with a profit of $216.7 million or 39 cents per share a year earlier. Oil and gas sales totalled $1.11 billion, up from $762.0 million in the first quarter of 2023.
